We are calling on the local Sunshine Coast community to rally behind The House the Coast Built to help create a home away from home for families with loved-ones receiving life-saving treatment at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

“For many families finding affordable accommodation close to the hospital is very difficult, especially for extended periods of time. Building The House the Coast Built will create a haven for families to return to after long and often very stressful days in hospital.”
Funds raised from 92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 For Kids as well as those from this year’s very successful Wishlist Spring Carnival Lunch made it possible to purchase the land in a prime location, walking distance from the Hospital.
Wishlist is now calling out for support from local trades and suppliers as well as anyone else who feels they can contribute to the success of the project.

Ausmar Ambassador Darren Lockyer is also on board with The House the Coast Built and is working to raise awareness of this project.
Ausmar Homes Business Unit Manager Josh Green said, “those who come on board can take great satisfaction in the long-term contribution they are making to our community.”
“This is an opportunity to genuinely make a difference to people’s lives at a time when it really matters.
“At this stage we encourage anyone wanting to come on board to get in touch. We are looking for building supplies, trades people, landscaping and furniture to turn this into a welcoming home for those who need it.”
