Accommodate a Family
Make a very real difference to families facing a health crisis. You can help a family stay together by providing a night’s stay at a Wishlist accommodation facility. Cost: $80 per night.

Wishlist WiFi
Wishlist WiFi is available throughout SCUH to benefit patients and improve their hospital experience. Funding of $1,200 per year supports the maintenance and operation of this service.

Therapy Dogs
Pet therapy touches humans psychologically, physically, mentally and emotionally. Fund a therapy dog for a year for just $1000.

iPads for Addiction Recovery Support
Cost: $8,144

One-armed Wheelchair
Loss of movement affects both the body and mind. The SCUH Rehabilitation Unit urgently needs a one-armed wheelchair to empower patients who can only use one side of their body. This wheelchair will provide them with the independence to reach for companionship, enjoy a glass of water, or sit in the sunshine - without having to wait for the assistance of busy nursing staff.

Insulin Pump for Paediatric Diabetes Clinic
Children with Type 1 Diabetes need insulin to survive, but giving insulin through multiple daily injections can be tough. An insulin pump makes it easier by providing a continuous flow of insulin, reducing the need for daily injections from five to just one every three days. This makes life more manageable for kids and less stressful for their families.

Paediatric Cardiology Ultrasound Machine
This ultrasound machine is essential for launching Paediatric Cardiology services on the Sunshine Coast, serving both inpatients and outpatients, including premature and seriously ill babies. It will reduce the need for families to travel to Brisbane, benefiting over 1,000 outpatients and 200 inpatients annually. The machine will also support multiple departments, improving diagnosis and treatment across the hospital.

Non-Invasive CO2 Monitoring for Critically Unwell Newborns
These specialised monitors measure CO2 levels non-invasively in critically unwell or premature newborns on ventilators. They reduce the need for painful blood tests and invasive lines, with long-term benefits for neurodevelopment and fewer blood transfusions. Two monitors are required to support this vital care.

Improve Treatment of Nerve and Muscle Disorders
Specialised nerve hyperexcitability testing equipment will help us understand how nerves connect to muscles. This equipment would allow us to expand our research and give local patients access to advanced testing without needing to travel to Sydney. It will help improve diagnosis and treatment of nerve and muscle disorders.

Enhancing Care for Women with Early Pregnancy Complications
An Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS) at Gympie Hospital will improve care for women facing early pregnancy complications. Seeking a gynaecological examination chair and a dedicated ultrasound with a transvaginal probe.

Remote MFM Ultrasound Supervision
SCUH is working with the Mater Hospital in Brisbane to provide remote supervision for high-level pregnancy ultrasounds. A specialised software add-on will enable expert review and support training for future local specialists.

Breast Cancer Medical Equipment
We need to raise $225,000 for two essential pieces of equipment to help local breast cancer patients - the Sentimag and Faxitron machines. These advanced devices will replace the often painful “hook and wire” method with a tiny magnetic seed, improving patient outcomes with less tissue removal, faster recovery, and fewer surgeries.

Paediatric Development Pharmacist
Funding a Senior Pharmacist to carefully review medications for children with complex medical issues, freeing up doctors to see more patients and reducing overall wait times.

Clinical Education Tech Upgrade
After eight years, we’re replacing our iSimulate patient simulators with new technology, including two advanced tablets that create lifelike medical scenarios. This upgrade will enhance training for our healthcare professionals and improve patient safety.

Gympie Hospital Parents Room
This project will convert an existing storeroom into a dedicated Parenting Room for staff, while constructing a new storeroom in its place. Aligning the works with the Butterfly Room construction offers a cost-effective opportunity.

Paediatric Ward Upgrade at Gympie Hospital
Upgrading the Paediatric Ward at Gympie Hospital will enhance the environment for young patients and their families. A more welcoming and supportive space will help improve comfort and overall care during hospital stays.

Biplane Unit
One in four people will suffer a stroke in their lifetime, and the Sunshine Coast is one of Queensland's busiest stroke units. With your help, we can raise $600,000 towards funding a 3D imaging machine called a Biplane Unit. This machine will help establish the region's first clot-retrieval service, sparing stroke and brain aneursym patients the journey to Brisbane for time-critical treatment.

Revamp the Rehab Gym
Help us revitalise the Gympie Hospital Extended Services Unit Rehab Gym. We're painting the walls, replacing blinds, and more to create a fresh, welcoming space for patients. Your support can make a big difference.

Transforming Lives with Robotics
Help us bring a ReJoyce Workstation to Nambour Hospital’s Day Rehabilitation Unit. This advanced robotic device boosts upper limb rehabilitation, offering scalable, intensive therapy that improves patient outcomes. By combining robotics with traditional therapy, it enhances patient engagement and frees up therapists to do what they do best.

Remote Monitoring Ultrasound Machines
Support us in purchasing Remote Monitoring Ultrasound Machines to improve patient care and help our sonographers in training. These machines let us monitor ultrasound exams in real-time, ensuring safer, higher-quality care for everyone, especially kids, teens, and those undergoing intimate exams. This equipment will enhance the training for both student and qualified sonographers. Your help will create greater patient comfort and enhance staff training.

Dad’s Group
An innovative program to operate out of Wishlist Centre to combat isolation amongst new fathers. Dad’s experience perinatal anxiety and depression too. Supporting new dads also supports their families and ultimately contributes to health child development and addressing broader social issues such as isolation.

Gympie Patient Transport
Lessen the stress and burden of travelling long distances for specialist appointments. Help fund our Patient Transport Service connecting Gympie Hospital patients with specialists at SCUH and Nambour Hospital.
Cost: $256,000 for two years.

Youth Support Program
Did you know approximately 20 percent of adolescents are estimated to have a chronic physical, developmental, behavioural, or emotional condition? Wishlist needs donations to fund an Adolescent and Young Adult Care project to improve the health of more than 120 young people aged 12-25 each year through the delivery of a Chronic illness Peer Support program.

Bust the Boredom
Our youngest patients sometimes need to wait for up to two hours at SCUH to see their treating doctor or specialist in an outpatient setting. We need your help to install an interactive screen to keep children calm and distracted before their appointment.
Cost: $67,000 for two interactive units.

Calm Fairies
The Calm Fairy helps anxious kids feel safe and calm in hospital. Ongoing funding is needed to continue this valuable service.
Cost: $13,000 per year.

Clown Doctors
Bring laughter and smiles to sick children at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Help continue this program.
